If you design or construct multi-story residential buildings, individually owned condominiums, studios, or buildings where noise between floors may be an issue, you will want to consider this new product.

ACOUSTIK membrane will soundproof your floor and make code officials, owners and tenants happy throughout the life of the building.

ACOUSTIK is a comfortable and resilient underlayment. It will resist impact noise, squeaks, vibrations, and noises from foot traffic on wood, stone, and ceramic tile. It also kills speech and music noise and is superior to alternative products.

It can be used on either concrete or wood frame construction, and is perfect for underlayment under wood floors or ceramic tile.

Field Impact Insulation Class (FIIC) rates systems per ASTM E1007-97. It is a rating indicating the acoustic insulation of a floor to impact noise. An example of impact noise is sound generated when we walk on or drop a heavy object on the floor.

Simply install ACOUSTIK membrane directly on either a wood or concrete structure. Then lay the floor covering over the ACOUSTIK membrane. Let dry for 24 hours before use. Contact us for specifications, details, advice on adhesives, and our handy guide.

ACOUSTIK membrane will increase an FIIC rating of a wood frame composite floor/ceiling system as show below, from FIIC of 33 to 61, an improvement of 28 or an additional 85%.

ACOUSTIK will increase the FIIC rating of a concrete floor/ceiling system as shown BELOW from FIIC of 34 to 62, an improvement of 28 or an additional 82%.
